Welcome to Wye Valley Handstripping. We are based in the beautiful Ross and Wye in Herefordshire.

Before qualifying as a dog groomer my background was in dog day care and boarding and training. I quit my high flying job in 2016 to set up my own company to help people who work look after their dogs during the day and so they didn't feel guilty for having to work but still have their life filled with the joy of dogs!

​

I got my first dog in 2015 who was a miniature labradoodle. Expecting his fur to be and curly and non-shedding I was surprised to find he actually had a wire coat. After I was shown how to maintain his fur properly and seeing the lovely rich colour come back in his coat I was hooked.

When the pandemic hit in 2020 I took the opportunity to get qualified in dog grooming with City and Guilds and found my true passion.

I offer a handstripping service from the comfort of your own home.

A safe and familiar environment for your dog.

I provide all my own equipment and will clean up at the end of the session.

This is also done in your home so has all the benefits of the above.

I can use a high velocity blower or if the dog is more sensitive to noise I can use just my hand tools.

Nail clips are included in the groom but I also offer this for £5 on its own.

We are a fully mobile service and we cover the Hereforshire, Monmouthshire, Worcestershore, Gloucestershire, South Wales and Newport region for all services. Please contact us if you would like our help outside of these areas.
